Tuesday, April 28, 2026 | Indiana, PA - The Indiana track and field teams closed out the dual meet portion of their season Tuesday afternoon hosting Punxsutawney. The teams split on the day with the Indiana boys beating the Punxsutawney boys 81-68 while the Indiana girls fell to the Chucks 86-54.
The boys were once again led by some stellar performances on the track. Junior Kaiden Branan took the 800 meters running a fine time of 1:56.90. Fellow junior Liam Templeton won the 400 meters running a tine of 50.63. Seniors Alonzo Farrington won the 110 hurdles in a time of 15.94 while Lucas Fields won the 200 running a time of 24.32. Indiana also won the 4x400 and 4x800 relays. Branan, Templeton, Fields and Devon Burney won the 4x400 with their time of 3:38.08. Billy Taylor, Jackson Rice, Jacob Neal and Gavin Kelly took the 4x800 in 8:58.92.
In the field events the boys scored wins in all three throws. Luke Halchak, discus 126-0, Darius Webb, shot put 43-0, and Brayden Zeisman, javelin 117-0 and win their respective events.
On the girls side, Gracie Reed scored a pair of individual wins taking the 100 meters in 13.12 and 400 meters with her time of 59.28. Additional individual winners on the track included Morgan Blystone 800 meters 2:27.24, Kayla Baker 1600 meters 5:39.76 and Clara Weigner 3200 meters 13:24.35. Blystone, Kaylee Onder, Aubrey Hunger and Emory Derry teamed up to win the 4x400 running a time of 4:24.85.
Senior Kaitlyn Wyant scored the girls lone victory in the field winning the shot put with a throw of 30-02.
