Saturday, April 18, 2026 | Butler, PA - The boys and girls track teams returned to action Saturday afternoon at the 61st annual Butler Invitational. The highlight of the meet was the boys 4x400 relay team which placed 2nd overall in the meet. Despite a pouring rain at the end of the meet, the team of Kaiden Branan, Devon Burney, Lucas Fields and Liam Templeton ran a gutsy 3:31.55 to bring home the silver. Additionally for the boys Liam Templeton took 3rd place in the boys 800 with a time of 1:57.13 and Kaiden Branan placed 6th with his time of 1:59.71. All told the boys finished with 17 points which was good enough for 13th place overall in the 83-team field.
For the girls, Gracie Reed led the way picking up two medals on the day. Reed took 4th place in the 400 with her time of 58.55 and followed that up with a 7th place performance in the 200 running 26.30. In addition the girls 4x800 relay team of Morgan Blystone, Kaylee Onder, Kayla Baker, and Aubrey Hunger dropped a whopping 30 seconds off of their seed time to take 8th place in the race running 10:07.58. The girls finished with 8 total points, good enough for 30th place in the meet.

Both teams return to action this week with a dual meet at home against Derry on Tuesday and the 100th edition of the Indiana County Meet this Saturday at Marion Center.
