PIAA Baseball 4A Championship Tournament: Championship Game Preview

Tuesday, June 9, 2026 | Indiana, PA - The Indiana baseball team will represent the community of Indiana in its third straight appearance in the PIAA Baseball 4A State Championship on Thursday, June 11th at 1:30 PM. Indiana, led by third year Head Coach Dan Petroff are in familiar territory in the community, hoping to become just the third team in Indiana School History to hoist a PIAA Championship Trophy. Indiana has had an unfamiliar path to the championship game this year, ending two games early with run-rules and outscoring opponents 33-4 over the three PIAA games played thus far. Indiana won it's second consecutive WPIAL Championship earlier in the season when they blanked Elizabeth Forward by a score of 4-0.

The Match Up
Indiana will face off against Holy Ghost Preparatory School on Thursday, June 11th. The Firebirds come out of District 1 as the champions. They then defeated District 4 Champs Montoursville by a score of 4-1. The Firebirds boast a record of 16-9 on the year.
