Dan Roan was hired as the Athletic Director of Indiana Area School District in July 2022. Prior to IASD, Dan served as the Director of Health, Wellness, Sports, and the Miracle League at the Indiana County YMCA. He still continues to volunteer his time with the Miracle League. Prior to the YMCA, Dan served as a Player Development Coordinator for Factory Athletics based out of Columbia, MD. He has helped many high school athletes map out a plan for college recruiting.
Dan attended Bellefonte High School and graduated in 2013. Dan graduated from IUP in 2017 with his Bachelor's Degree in Sports Management and again in 2018 with his Master's Degree in Employment & Labor Relations. While at IUP, Dan was a member of the IUP Sports Information personnel, helping with stating contests, graphic design, website design, social media, etc. He also held a position with the IUP Campus Recreation where his job duties would entail refereeing intramural games, scheduling tournaments and supervising the fitness center. Mr. Roan served as a relief pitcher for the IUP Baseball team in 2017 & 2018 and lettered in both seasons.
Dan and his wife, Brenna, reside in Indiana with their dog, Fenway & daughter Carsyn.
