Tuesday, April 29, 2025 | Indiana, PA - The Indiana baseball team completed section play on Tuesday against Valley overcoming the Vikings by a score of 1-0. Senior pitcher
Ryan Okopal was one batter away from a perfect game, allowing only one Valley hitter to reach base on an infield single. He did not issue a walk, hit a batter, and the Indiana defense did not commit an error on the contest. Okopal additionally had nine strikeouts. Coincidentally enough, that was the only hit Valley hitters had throughout the entire two-game series with Indiana. The day before, senior pitcher
Greg Minnick went five no-hit innings on the bump against the same Valley team. Showcasing his electric arsenal giving up no hits to the Vikings. Junior
Sully VanHoose came in relief for the final two innings also not allowing a hit to the Vikings setting up a combined no-hitter for the Indians. Minnick had nine strikeouts on the day while VanHoose fired two of his own. Indiana won game one by a score of 5-0. Indiana finishes the regular season with a perfect 10-0 record in their section, making them champions for the first time since 2015.
