Wednesday, May 15, 2024 | Wexford, PA - The #9 seeded Indiana baseball team came into the game ready to go and go they did.
Ben Ryan opened up the scoring when he took an off-speed pitch to the warning track to plate
Mark Collinger in the top of the 1st inning.
Greg Minnick then went on to shut down the Warriors throughout the game to the tune of only allowing two hits through five innings pitched, walking two and striking out 12. Indiana scored again in the top of the 3rd inning when Collinger doubled in
Trevor Smith.
Andrew McGee singled in
Rocco Cosentino and
Hunter Martin in the top of the 6th inning to take the lead to 4-0.
Ben Ryan came in and closed the door on the Warriors pitching two innings, allowing an unearned run on no hits, and three strikeouts.
Ben Ryan led the way with two hits, two intentional walks and one RBI.
Up Next
Indiana will now face #16 Blackhawk in a rematch of last year's quarterfinal. The game is scheduled for 7:00 PM at North Allegheny High School again.
