Monday, May 11, 2026 | Indiana, PA - The Indiana softball team has propelled their way into the WPIAL 4A Championships set to kick off today (5/11). Indiana earned the #5 seed after a strong season which saw the Indians compile a 14-5 overall record while going 10-2 in their section, good enough for a 2nd place finish behind Knoch. Indiana has had strong pitching all year, limiting opponents to 3.1 runs per game on average while scoring an average of 8.7 runs per game.
Samantha Martin &
Claire Brewer have led the Indians in the circle, along with contributions from newcomer
Daelyn Bish. From top to bottom Indiana has been solid this year with the bats.
The Match Up
It's like deja vu for the 2026 season as Indiana will face off against #12 Uniontown in the first round at Norwin, the same exact match up and location as the first round in last year's tournament which saw Indiana come out victorious by a score of 3-2. First pitch will be at 4:00 PM. Uniontown finished with an overall record of 10-8 this season with a 7-5 record in their section, good enough for a tie for third place. The Red Raiders are averaging 5.7 runs scored per game while also ironically giving up 5.7 runs per game.
