Wednesday, March 25, 2026 | Indiana, PA - The Indiana bats were hot and so was the arm of
Samantha Martin, something you don't often say in the first home game of a long season in the 8-0 rout of Freeport. Martin went the distance in the circle, striking out 15 Yellow Jacket hitters, only allowing three batters to get on base via a walk. Martin finished the game with only 107 pitches as well.
Indiana's hitters also came into the game prepared, scattering 12 hits including
Rylin Blystone (2-3, 2B, run scored),
Kaylee Cass (3-3, 2B, 2 RBIs) and
Sophia Boyer (2-3, 2 RBIs) who all had multi-hit performances.
Claire Brewer had a single and an RBI,
Rachel Livermore had a hit and two runs scored,
Anna Carnovale had a hit and an RBI,
Samantha Martin had a hit and an RBI,
Hannah Ianarelli had a hit and an RBI as well. The defense made no errors behind Martin and played a perfect game. Paisley Wolff had a stolen base in the contest. Indiana only had one batter who struck out in the entire contest so plate discipline was also high.
