Monday, May 11, 2026 | Indiana, PA - The Indiana girls' lacrosse team secured the #7 seed in the WPIAL 2A Girls' Lacrosse Championships. Indiana is an exciting team, who's season started with a tough 1-3 record but then went on a 10-game winning streak before ultimately dropping their final regular season contest to finish the season with an impressive 11-4 overall record. The Indians finished 8-2 in their section play which was good enough for third place. Indiana is a great team who dominates the draw circle, led by senior captain
Laken Kugler. Indiana's attack is strong with the wealth being evenly distributed among the team members. In the vast majority of their games, Indiana has had more than six goal scorers. Indiana's defense is a problem as well, led by three strong senior defenders in
Sara Fisher,
Emily Ferraro and newcomer
Paige Fisanich. They are the frontline for Indiana's stellar goalie in sophomore
Aubrey Jewart.
The Opponent
Indiana will face off against the #10 seeded Chartiers Valley Colts. The Colts come in with a record of 6-7 overall and a 5-5 record. They are the sixth and final team to get in from WPIAL 2A Section II. Chartiers Valley scores an average of 8.7 goals per game whilst giving up 11.4 goals per game.
