Wednesday, April 10, 2024 | Indiana, PA - The Indiana Sr. High Track and Field teams returned to action Wednesday afternoon hosting Penn Trafford in a WPIAL section meet. Unfortunately both teams came up with the short end of the baton losing to the Warriors in both meets. The boys fell by a score of 96-54 while the girls lost 81-69.
Stanford Webb continued his strong outdoor season for the Indians with three individual first place finishes. Webb won the long jump (20-10.25), the triple jump (38-4.25), and the high jump (5-8). Additional individual event winners included Charlie Weber (pole vault - 14-3),
Kaiden Branan (3200 meters - 11:09.72), and
Garret Minnick (1600 meters - 4:48.95). In addition the relay team of Branan,
Jonas Vick,
Devon Burney, and
Liam Templeton won the 4x800 with a time of 8:47.66.
For the girls,
Addison Porter led the way with two individual first place finishes. Porter won the long jump (15-3.5) and the triple jump (30-11.75) for her victories. Other individual event winners included: Addie Fry (800 meters - 2:26.88),
Hannah Cowburn (100 hurdles - 17.88),
Alexa Wheeler (pole vault - 8-0), and
Paige Fisanich (javelin - 88-2). In the relays, the team of Cowburn, Porter,
Emily Ferraro, and Plenitude Ylonfoun won the 4x100 with a time of 53.58.
Both teams fall to 0-3 on the season and will return to action this Saturday at the Latrobe Wildcat Invitational.
