Wednesday, June 11, 2025 | Indiana, PA - The Indiana baseball team will represent the community of Indiana in its second consecutive appearance in the PIAA Baseball State Championship on Friday, June 13th at 1:35 PM. Indiana, led by second year Head Coach
Dan Petroff are in familiar territory in the community, hoping to become just the second team in Indiana School History to hoist a PIAA Championship Trophy (shoutout to our boys' swimming & diving team who brought home the trophy last year!). Indiana has had an interesting path to the championship game, defeating the Bellefonte Red Raiders in the first round by a score of 1-0 in 12 innings, then heading to the Quarterfinals where they cruised to a 8-0 victory against fellow D7 member Central Valley, to face off against East Pennsboro in the semifinals and won in walk-off fashion in the PIAA record-setting 17th inning via a walk with the bases juiced defeating the Panthers 6-5, an eerily similar score and ending to last year's match up with East Pennsboro.
The Match Up
Indiana will face off against the Montoursville Warriors on
Friday, June 13th. The Warriors come out of District 4 as the champions. Montoursville defeated District 2 runner-up Crestwood 18-0 in the first round, then defeated District 3 third place team Fleetwood by a score of 6-4. They then shutout District 1 champions Pope John Paul II by a score of 6-0 in the semifinals. The Warriors boast a record of 20-4 on the year. The Warriors come into the game with a team batting average of .348* and a team ERA of 1.80* - *
