Saturday, August 31, 2024 | California, PA - It was hot day on Saturday at Cal U Invite, and the Indiana area girls XC team was on fire. Leading the way was freshman Kayla Baker 3rd overall and 1st for Indiana with a time of 23:44. 2nd for Indiana was Freshman Morgan Blystone, 3rd freshman Aubrey Hunger, 4th Freshman Gracie Reed and rounding out our top five senior Rachel Gill. These 4 freshman and a senior came out of nowhere to take 2nd out of 19 teams today, highest finish by a girls team for Indiana in the past 20 years at this meet.

The Indiana area boys also had a great showing today taking 4th overall and 1st for Indiana was sophomore Kaiden Branan with a time of 19:14, 2nd Brennon Huff, 3rd Simon Fortufhniak, 4th Josh Reed and 5th Jacob Neal. Indiana area boys XC took 4th out of 20 teams. This course is one of the hardest they will run all year.
