Thursday, January 4, 2024 | Indiana, PA - The Indiana girls' basketball team defetaed Gateway by a score of 53-13 to improve to 8-2 (3-0 in section) on the year. The 40-point margin of victory is their largest since defeating Fox Chapel 60-12 in the 2021-22 season.
Jumping out to an early 19-3 lead in the 1st quarter, Indiana did not relent on defense throughout the rest of the game, as they held Gateway to single digit scoring in every quarter throughout the game.
Bella Antonacci led Indiana in the box score with 11 points, while
Cassie Boyer was also in double figures with 10.
Emily Betsinger also had nine, and
Laken Kugler had eight.
Julia Antonacci hit two three-pointers as well, and
Addy Hutton,
Emily Ferraro, and
Emma Todd each scored two.
Bella Antonacci led the Indians in assists with six.
Laken Kugler,
Stella Stossel,
Cassie Boyer and
Addy Hutton all contributed five rebounds each.
