Coach Matt Neil is the Head Tennis Coach at IHS. His philosophy is that every student and every student athlete matters, can grow, and should be encouraged to become the best version of themselves that they can be. Coach Neil has been a teacher and coach for over 18 years and has experience coaching varsity tennis, varsity soccer, and varsity baseball. 

Neil became the Head Tennis Coach at IHS in 2022 and in his first two years as boys tennis coach the boys qualified for the WPIAL playoffs, and the WPIAL doubles championship one of those years. In his first two years he coached the IHS Girls Tennis Team to back to back Section Championships, with both teams advancing to the quarterfinal of the WPIAL team Championships. Players also won and finished second in the Section Doubles Championship and qualified for the WPIAL Doubles Championship.

Mr. Neil is a Social Studies teacher at IHS and the faculty coordinator for the IHS Ambassadors and New Student Program, which welcomes and supports new students in our school and community.
