Coach Matt Reed is entering his 5th year as head boys’ golf coach at Indiana Area High School. He also served as a volunteer assistant golf coach during his one year of teaching at Clearfield High School. Coach Reed led the 2020 golf team to a share of the section championship. Three of his golfers have made the WPIAL semi-finals and two have reached the WPIAL finals in his four years. Reed worked for twelve years in the golf industry serving as the pro-shop manager at Indian Springs Golf and Country Club. Reed also has eleven years of basketball coaching experience including seven as the head boys’ varsity coach at Marion Center High School.
Coach Reed earned his bachelor’s degree in Secondary Math Education from IUP and has a master’s degree in Educational Technology. He lives in the Indiana Area School district with his wife Katie and three daughters, Gianna (10), Kennedy (5), and Sawyer (5). Coach Reed is a mathematics teacher at Marion Center High School.
