Thursday, May 9, 2024 | Indiana, PA - The Indiana boys' lacrosse team finished their regular season on Wednesday in their section matchup with Quaker Valley when they defeated the Quakers by a score of 12-4. Indiana finished the season under first year Head Coach Jason Beatty with a record of 10-5 (7-3 in section). Big wins for Indiana came in section wins over Knoch (11-8) and over Freeport (9-5). Indiana improves upon their record from last year which was 9-8. Indiana exited from the WPIAL AA Championships last year after a loss to Moon by a score of 9-8. 

Indiana draws the #7 seed in the tournament and will face off against a familiar foe in section opponent #10 Freeport. If Indiana happens to win that match up they will face off against #2 South Fayette. Freeport finished the season with a record of 8-5 overall (6-4 in section). Freeport outscored their opponents 138-136 on the year. 

Indiana has had contributions from many student-athletes of different classes. For instance their top goal scorer is sophomore Garrett Goodrich who boasts 45 goals on the year with 9 assists. Senior Landin Wilson has 84 points (28 goals, 56 assists) on the year. Junior Parker Bowersox has 26 goals with 20 assists on the campaign. Senior Ash Lockard has 25 goals coupled with 31 assists. Freshman Max Campisano has 14 goals with five assists on the year. Wilson has amassed an incredible 118 faceoff wins on the season while Bowersox follows suit with 101. Defensively for Indiana senior Carson Beatty leads Indiana with 60 ground balls followed by Bowersox with 59, Wilson with 57, Payne McClure with 32, Lockard with 28, Goodrich with 25, Jackson Albert with 21 and Campisano with 21. Beatty leads the way with 60 takeaways followed by Lockard with 21 and senior Nate Wood with 19. In goal sophomore Dominic Lonetti leads the way with an astonishing 193 saves on 300 shots on goal.
