Monday, April 22, 2024 | Alverton, PA - The Indiana boys' tennis team routed Southmoreland on Monday by a score of 5-0, officially wrapping up their section play and ultimately securing their section title championship. Indiana got their revenge on section rival Valley last week by defeating them 3-2. Valley is the defending section champions.
Indiana won all five of the matches on Monday, notibly winning their matches were singles Gabe Nettleton, Noah Weigner and Andrew Kobak. In doubles, the pair of Jayden Learn and Carter Mock won their match while the second doubles pair of Evan Riffer and Muhammad Abulaila won their match as well.
Indiana finished section play with a perfect 6-0 record, defeating fellow section opponsnets Valley, Mt. Pleasant, Greater Latrobe, Greensburg Salem, Kiski Area and Southmoreland. Indiana has one match left with an upcoming battle with Greensburg Central Catholic.
