Friday, June 2, 2023 | Indiana, PA - The Indiana baseball team has qualified for the 2023 4A PIAA Baseball Championship Tournament for the first time in 23 years. The Indians earned the last spot coming out of District 7 thanks in part to their admirable run in the WPIAL Playoffs. The #7 seeded Indians took care of business against (#10) Laurel Highlands by a score of 12-4. The Indians then were tasked with a matchup with (#2) Blackhawk in which they triumphed by a score of 4-1, propelling them to the WPIAL semifinals. In the semifinal matchup, they would drop the game to eventual WPIAL 4A Champions Hopewell by a score of 7-5. Indiana then was put into a consolation game with (#1) Montour where they would drop that game by a score of 8-6. 

The Matchup
Indiana will face off against East Pennsboro out of Enola, PA on Monday, June 5th. The Panthers are coming off of a District 3 4A Championship run after defeating Hanover by a score of 14-4. The Panthers finished the season with a 15-7 overall record while going 10-4 in the Mid-Penn - Capital section, finishing 2nd in the section behind Camp Hill.

First pitch will be at 4:00 PM. 

Tickets/Parking
All tickets must be purchased on the PIAA website, and will cost $8 plus fees.  Those needing assistance to purchase a ticket at the field will be helped as time allows.  All sales will be by credit card only.  Parking will be available in the side and front parking lots at the high school, as well as the back of the middle school.  Limited parking will be available in the back of the high school, other than game officials and handicapped parking.  When your bus arrives at East Pennsboro High School, school security will escort them to the parking lot near the baseball field.  Fans are encouraged to bring their own chair.  Home fans should sit on the 1^st base side, and away fans should sit on the 3^rd base side.  Seating is also available on the hill in the outfield.
