Monday, February 6, 2023 | Indiana, PA - Coaches Sarah Brown, Skip Griffith and Allison Brownlee and their IHS Swimming and Diving team continue their quest to an undefeated season vanquishing a tech-ed up Freeport HS squad in the billabong of the IUP Field House Monday evening. Many swimmers stepped up to the block to prevail over their competition. Both Girls and Boys 200 Medley Relay (Maddy Bauer, Peyton Scott, Emme Fry and Sydney Anderson) (Eli Aiken, Alex Bauer, Joey Margita and Preston Kessler) and 400 Freestyle Relay (Bella Donatelli, Maddy Bauer, Emme Fry and Morgan Grove) (Eli Aiken, Micah Weigner, Matthew Blystone and Rey Nunez) along with the boys 200 Freestyle Relay (Kody Griffith, Joey Margita, Alex Bauer and Preston Kessler) all registered 1st place points. Maddy Bauer and Hagen Jones started off the individual side of victors in the 200 Freestyle. Adding to the individual event top dogs we had Evan Speer (200IM), Preston Kessler (50 Freestyle) and (100 Butterfly), Sydney Anderson and Matthew Blystone (100 Freestyle), Emme Fry and Rey Nunez (500 Freestyle), Alex Bauer (100 Backstroke), Sydney Anderson and Alex Bauer (100 Breaststroke), Austin Schawl continues to dominate with a score of 240.70 and ultimately securing a victory in the 10th event.

Up Next
The swimmers travel to Burrell School District Thursday evening for their final away meet of the season. The team will host their Annual Mark Hess Memorial Invitational Saturday at IUP.
