Thursday, October 12, 2023 | Leechburg, PA - The Indiana boys' soccer team held it's own destiny on Thursday night with the playoff picture in sight. It was either lose to Kiski Area and miss out on the playoffs or win and get in. Indiana did the latter and secured a win in dominant fashion by a score of 5-1 to secure the fourth and final playoff spot out of their section. Ending their four game skid, Indiana won when it mattered most. Propelling them to the victory was the first goal scored by
Tim Birch. Followed by
Russell Crane to the tune of three goals in a row for a hat trick on the evening.
Moath Alanazi put the finishing touches on when he scored the fifth and final goal.
Alex Bauer, true to his nature, had a phenomenal game in goal for the Indians.
Indiana finishes the regular season with a 5-10-1 record and a 5-7 record in the section. We now await how the seeding will shape up in the 3A WPIAL Championships bracket.
